- Solid has definite in Shape, Mass and Volume
- All of the atoms can't move around a lot, so it is stiff
- All three states have a definite mass
- This means that matter is anything that has mass or takes up space
- Gas is the most different from all three states
- It isn't the same, you can't see it (usually)
- On heating, all the states can be heated, even though some expand more and some less
